This product can be used in a number of different ways dependent upon the type of material under investigation.
Electrolytic at 6 V:
(a) 5 s for sigma.
(b) 30 s for ferrite and general structure.
(c) to 5 min for carbides

When used electrolytically at 6 volts for five seconds (Method A) this product will reveal the general structure of Copper-Nickel alloys, This method will also stain the sigma phase of Series 200 & 300 steels.
When used electrolytically at 6 volts for thirty seconds (Method B) this product will reveal the general structure of Nickel-Copper alloys.
When used electrolytically at 6 volts for five minutes (Method C) this product will reveal the Carbides and Sensitisation of Series 200 & 300 steels.
