This product is used as a micro-etchant to reveal the general structure of Pure Tantalum, Tin-Iron alloys & Zinc-Cobalt alloys.
When used as a macro-etch, this product can be used on almost all aluminum alloys as a good general-purpose etchant. Additionally the sample does not require fine grinding.
When used as a micro-etchant, swab or immerse for between 5–15 s.
When used as a macro-etchant immerse the sample for between 5 to 15 min in the solution heated to 140 to 160°F (60 to 70°C). Rinse in water, and remove smut in strong Nitric Acid (HNO3) solution.
Rinse and repeat etching if necessary.
