This solution is an electrolytic micro etchant used to reveal the grain structure under polarized light of;
- pure Aluminium, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 & 7000 series.
This products is specified in ISO 16060: Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials — Etchants for macroscopic and microscopic examination.
As a micro-etch for the analysis of grain and fibre structures of aluminium and aluminium alloys, anodize the sample for between 40-60 seconds and examine the sample under polarized light.
