An etchant suitable for high alloy, corrosion resistant steels, Co or Co-Al alloys, such as Inconel 625, and Co-Ni alloys.
This product is specified in ISO16060: Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials — Etchants for macroscopic and microscopic examination.
As a macro-etch for Carbon Steel, Low Alloy steel, Stainless Steel and Nickel & Nickel Alloy products, use 320 grit or finer and immerse sample for between 5-10 seconds.
