Method B is used the reveal the general structure of Pure Vanadium.
Method A is used the reveal the general structure of Osmium Base Pure Palladium and Palladium Alloys, it is also recommended for etch-polishing for viewing the grains of Osmium Base with polarized light.
This reagent can be used electrolytically in one of two ways;
a) Electrolytic at 10V for 30 seconds. Use Carbon Cathode and Platinum wire to the specimen. For etch-polishing, use shorter time.
b) Electrolytic at 6V for 10 seconds. Use stainless steel cathode and platinum or Nichrome wire contact to specimen.
